Roaring River Camping

We had a great time camping this past weekend at Roaring River State Park. The weather was perfect (well, except for the COLD night on Friday), the company was fun, and the food was yummy. We arrived back home on Sunday stinky, dirty, tired, and happy.

Little creekbed behind our campsite = lots of creative fun for the kids:(Yes, that is Maggie's back side in the picture. We took her with us and she's been sleeping pretty much non-stop on the couch since we got home. Old girl isn't cut out for camping). The site next to ours was empty so the kids had lots of space to play:Yummy food thanks to our two chefs:Saturday morning we fished and walked around the trout pools:After lunch we played in the creek down from our site. The water was FREEZING...it was so cold it hurt...but that didn't stop the kids from having a blast:

We had a great time and were glad Ryan finally got to experience camping without rain!
