"I earned it"

He did it! Ryan earned himself a race car bed! David and I decided we were all ready for Ryan to make the move to a big boy bed. So in about a weeks time Ryan "earned" a race car bed by picking up his toys all by himself. Some times it was easy, just a bucket of cars...other times it was just about every toy he owns. After I found the used toddler bed for a great price, David made Ryan a chart and each time he cleaned up his toys he got to color in a tire. After 10 tires he got the new bed! We hope a lesson was learned in the process...he still tells us he earned his race car bed!

Friday night was his first night in the bed. We made a big deal out of it, even by bringing his crib over to Baby Sofia so she can sleep in it soon. He has done excellent, hasn't gotten out of it once, always calls for me in the morning and after naps. It was very emotional for me and David...a true sign that our baby is growing up.

I realized I don't have any pictures of him in his bed so will have to take some soon!
