"The Greatest Surprise Ever"

Last Saturday I drove up to Stockton for my sister, Erin's, baby shower. It was so fun to celebrate her having a boy! She looks great and got some really cute boy things. The hosts had us give her advice on raising boys and that was fun because I actually have a small amount of knowledge and experience in that department!

This picture is blurry, but I still think it is cute:And now for the surprise...

After the shower I hung out at the Pettit house for a while before heading home. I'm not quite sure how it came up, but Elicia (middle girl, 4 years old) decided she was going to come home with me. So the next thing I know Erin was packing her bags and we loaded up for the trip home! We didn't give David or Ryan any warning so when Ryan saw Elicia he was speechless. It was precious! The next day he told us she was the greatest surprise ever!

The two did everything together and played great the entire three days she was with us:

Our church had their annual picnic on Sunday so we stayed for that and the kid's did an egg hunt. As we were driving home Elicia said, "your church is amazing!" Guess the hamburgers and candy filled eggs won her over:Tuesday we brought her back to her family. We met up in Greenfield, MO at Emily's softball game. I've been wanting to watch her play so it was the perfect chance. David didn't get to go with us so he asked Ryan how the game went and he said, "Mommy yelled, GO, GO, GO to Emily." Guess I was a bit loud!
