Where to start?

OK, I'm behind on my blogging. I've been meaning to blog more about our Christmas fun, but it's been last on my list of things to do each day. I moved it up the list today so here we go!
We enjoyed Christmas again this year at home. We are creating little traditions for Ryan and for our family which has been fun. Christmas Eve we went to a service at our church and then home to open a gift.
Christmas morning was absolutely fun for us. Ryan woke up and knew right what was going on. Opening gifts lasted a total of twenty minutes because Ryan just wanted to keep opening and then when he was done he took inventory. We just went with the flow.
I cooked a big breakfast, complete with snowman shaped pancakes, and then we spent the morning playing with Ryan and his new toys.
David was in charge of lunch and grilled us yummy steaks (might have to make that a tradition). Ryan and I had baked a cake the day before so we could have a birthday party for Jesus. I will never forgot him singing every word of "Happy Birthday" to Jesus...it was sweet and brought tears to my eyes.

The weather was absolutely beautiful here (sunny, mid-50s) so we decided to go for a hike in the Ozark National Forest right after lunch. We spent 2.5 hours and greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Ryan rode most of the way in the backpack carrier on David's back which they both love (and it's a good thing Ryan still weighs next to nothing!). Then on Saturday we headed to Longview, TX to celebrate with David's family. And as always that is a fun time!
After a few days in Longview we headed over to Dallas so David could go to his last doctor's appointment. We stayed the night with our friends, David and Ann, and we all enjoyed that visit. I'm sure David H. was worn out from being chased all evening by Ryan...it was cute to see!
So all in all we had several wonderful Christmas celebrations and things have been busy since. I'll try to do a better job of keeping up in the future!
