So Sad

Ryan does not enjoy having his picture taken professionally. He never has so I rarely do it. The few times that I have taken him have resulted in tears and a red face from Ryan and an aggitated photographer. He doesn't enjoy anything about the experience, especially the lights. And I think all the toys and stuff they pull out to try to make him smile just end up stressing him out.

Twice a year they bring in a photographer to take pictures of the kid's at the Mother's Day Out program he goes to. Last Spring the pictures were with a live bunny and needless to say Ryan wasn't happy. This Fall I thought I would give it another try. My hopes weren't high and I didn't spend money on a nice outfit. For an extra incentive I told him if he smiled nice he could pick out a new car. I keep thinking that maybe with me not there it will go over better. Well he didn't go for any of it, here are the results:SO SAD!! Poor lil' guy. The second picture isn't terrible, but it doesn't show the Ryan we know. So once again we aren't buying any of these pictures. I'll guess I'll keep trying, maybe one of these times it won't be so bad!

I'm sorry, Sara. Poor Ryan! Try a natural photographer who will take pictures of him running and playing and being himself, especially outside. You can sneak in some seated portraits at the end, when he's really comfortable with the photographer. I've never tried an actual portrait session with B, but I am sure he would be unhappy. He has school pics scheduled for early December, but I don't have high hopes.
