We woke up Sunday morning to find our willow tree in the front yard laying on the ground. It was a result of the strong winds and heavy rain we got here in NWA. We can almost expect to find several large tree branches in our backyard after a storm, so we were surprised to find the willow tree blown down. Well, I was surprised, David was thrilled! He has wanted to dig up that tree since we moved in two years ago. His reasons are good...it takes up the entire front yard leaving no room for play, it is so messy, it is very difficult for a 6'8" man to mow underneath, etc. etc. So now the fun began for David!
The tree didn't break, it was still in the ground leaning on the bushes along the house. David used the truck to pull it back up to standing to see if it could be saved. The neighbor boys were very excited for the entertainment!
After seeing if it would stay up with materials he had in the garage (Maggie's yard stake), he determined it had to go. This video is for my brother-in-law, Eric ;)
The tree put up a good fight, but in the end it was David who won! Even after it broke his tow rope, he still came out on top.

That is just classic. My husband did the same thing in our backyard, pulling up the roots of a tree. Maybe that is why Jason and David are friends or maybe all guys are like this. So funny!
