Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's Day yesterday! It started a week ago when Ryan gave me my gifts! They had gone shopping on Sunday while I was driving home from Dallas and when I got home Ryan was crying to give me them. They had built a planter box the month before at the Home Depot kid's activity so they planted flowers in that and also bought me a nice glassware set since most of our current ones had broken. Ryan was excited to give me the "cups". Yesterday after church we went over and had a nice lunch with the Helmich family. My sweet friend, Amy, is a great mom of three and I love to watch her in action! It was a beautiful day and the kids played well in their backyard while we sat on the deck and visited. Then that evening we headed outside for some exericse...Ryan in the jogging stroller being pushed by David who had on rollerblades and me on foot being drug by Maggie because she was trying to keep up with Ryan! I was having such a hard time jogging because I couldn't stop laughing!

I am so honored to be a mother...to have such great memories of my mom as a friend and mother...to have Jani who is still to this day an amazing mother and who treats me as if I was her own child...to constantly get such great mothering advice from my sister, Erin, who is the best mom to my three sweet nieces...to be surrounded by friends near and far who are super moms and always give me great ideas and support. I AM SO BLESSED!
